Emily Fewtrell
MBACP counsellor & Psychotherapist
Come as you are, make time for yourself, unburden what holds you back.
Restore your life.
My values and my commitment to you
MY approach
I work in a relational, person-centred way, integrating techniques to support each client. I will create an environment that feels safe and comfortable for you, to help you explore your experiences, feelings and beliefs so that you can begin to make sense of whatever is troubling you. I will work hard to build a trusting relationship with you by accepting you just as you are, without judgement, so you are free to be your authentic self.
Compassion for people
I am committed to coming alongside people in their suffering, to try to understand and help them make sense of their experiences.
Empowering others
Counsellors don't have all the answers and cannot solve all the problems - but through collaboration and within the trusting relationship I can help you find your inner-resources and develop your self-advocacy.
Neuro-affirming inclusion & accessibility
I promote genuine support and affirmation of neurodivergence, difference and disability. This enables individuals to work in a sensory-friendly, creative way, at a pace that suits their needs. If you identify as neurodivergent or have a disability, please tell me how I can help make counselling as accessible and beneficial for you as possible.
"I was able to speak about various issues that I had and build a better understanding of how to cope. Emily helped me get back to the person I used to be. For this, I am eternally grateful.”
